Call for proposals: 2010 Biennial Conference Continuing Education Sessions

Proposals are now being accepted for continuing education sessions at NYSNA's biennial conference, “Work Safe - Work Healthy”, to be held October 20 - 22 at Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. NYSNA is seeking presentations on topics related to the conference theme which are current and innovative. NYSNA follows a track format, which includes clinical issues, contemporary issues and legislative issues tracks. There will be three sessions selected for each track (9 tracks total).

Sessions are approximately 60 minutes long. Speakers receive monetary reimbursement which may be used to help defray the costs of travel, lodging, meals and registration.

Proposals must include submission of four continuing education (CE) session forms. The required forms include presenter biographical information and signed declaration of vested interests form, lesson plan (detailing purpose/goal, objectives, content to be covered to achieve the objectives, time frame, and teaching methods), title and brief description of the presentation, and presenter introduction. Submissions are due no later than March 12, 2010.
