All retired nurses are welcome to attend this session to discuss relevant issues and the role of retired nurses in NYSNA.

Make yourself Number One on your own “to do” list. When we take good care of ourselves, we are better able to care for others and be more effective in our world. Quinn is a noted speaker on the topic of stress reduction. All attendees are welcome.

Objectives:
  • Define the role stress plays in our daily lives.
  • Identify three methodologies to diminish or remove your stress.
  • Define strategies for dealing with difficult people.
  • Define techniques to effectively deal with difficult people.
6:00 – 8:00 PM Nursing Research Awards Dinner (1.0 contact hour; ticketed event; see Registration)

The dinner will feature the recipient of the 2008 Distinguished Nurse Researcher Award, Patricia W. Stone, PhD, RN, FAAN, who will speak on her research, “Exploring Nursing’s Impact on Cost and Quality Outcomes: An Overview of a Program of Research.” The 2009 Distinguished Nurse Researcher, Novice Nurse Researcher, and Evidence-Based Practice awards will be presented.
