Delegate Assembly Members | Member/Facility Liaisons | DA Zones
The Delegate Assembly is an elected group of NYSNA union members that provide a resource for all members, and advise the Association's Economic and General Welfare program. The assembly works to build unity and member involvement within and between organized facilities. Elected members serve four-year terms.
NYSNA’s Protected Action Fund helps pay for members’ legally protected activities arising from contract negotiations, including media campaigns, lobbying, and no-interest loans for striking members. The Fund was created in response to a recommendation from the Delegate Assembly. Ten dollars of annual membership dues collected from NYSNA union members are set aside for the fund, which has been used by members working in both the public and private sector throughout the state. The fund is overseen by a standing committee of the Delegate Assembly that reviews applications and makes recommendations regarding use of funds to the executive director.
