In 1919, the first ten districts of the New York State Nurses Association were accepted into membership. District 4, now known also as Central Counties Professional Nurses Association (CCPNA), was the fourth district to do so. Originally, the counties of Onondaga, Cortland, and Cayuga counties were the geographical boundaries of the district. At an unknown later date, Oswego County was added. It appears Seneca County was part of the District during the late forties and early fifties.
Although many items of concern to nursing change over time, others always remain. CCPNA is committed to providing members and other nurses with information and education necessary to practice in todays complex healthcare environment. Join us in our efforts to achieve that goal.
