Board Action Report
At its pre-convention meeting on October 7, the board of directors:
- ratified the 9/22/09 referendum on a staff nurse nominee for the ANA group to revise Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
- instructed that a letter be sent to ANA emphasizing that staff nurses’ contributions through participation in appointed units are essential and should be sought consistently and vigorously.
- adopted plan documents for the restated NYSNA Employee 401(k) Plan effective December 1, 2009 approving Fidelity Investments as the plan record keeper, Stage II Planning as the registered representative, and Meketa Investments as plan investment consultant.
At its post-convention meeting on October 11, the board of directors:
- approved appointments to the Committee on Finance, Board Committees on Appointments and Strategic Planning, and the Election Committee.
