Get connected with New York's professional nurses association, and keep pace with the latest developments in nursing. More than 36,000 members strong, we offer a wide range of services for RNs, including education, practice advice, legislative and political action, and union representation.

Now any registered nurse in New York State or Licensed Practical Nurse can become an Individual Affiliate of the New York State Nurses Association for just $52 per year! And nursing students can become Student Affiliates for the nominal fee of $15 a year!

Individual Affiliates

For just $1 a week, RNs or LPNs will receive as a NYSNA Individual Affiliate:

E-mailed Nursing Practice Alerts with summaries of standards and regulations that affect your nursing practice.

10% off the nonmember registration fee for our annual Convention.

*The NYSNA Board of Directors has established a rate of $150/hour for consultation with nurses who are not NYSNA members.

Please note: Individual Affiliates are not members of NYSNA, and are not eligible for benefits of membership, such as discounts for a range of educational offerings, unlimited consultation with staff, eligibility to hold office or serve on committees, and access to the Members Only area at nysna.org. Members of NYSNA collective bargaining units and direct NYSNA members are not eligible to become Individual Affiliates.

Student Affiliates

For the nominal cost of $15 annually, currently enrolled nursing students receive:

A one-year subscription to New York Nurse, our award-winning magazine.
10% off the student registration fee at our annual Convention.
Access to NYSNA's Library, the state's largest nursing library, with assistance from our professional staff.

Please note: Student Affiliates must be enrolled in approved education programs located in New York State that are preparing them to become licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses. Student Affiliates cannot be licensed RNs.

Affiliations are for a 12-month period and may be renewed. Affiliates must live or work in New York State. Affiliations begin upon receipt of your registration form and payment. A packet will be mailed to you within 30 days with further information about your benefits.
