| Responsibilities | Silver Hill Hospital, a nationally prominent psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, CT is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing. Silver Hill is a private, not-for profit hospital that admits approximately 2500 patients annually. The hospital is licensed for 129 beds and operates inpatient and residential programs for adults and adolescents. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the supervision of nursing care for all hospital programs and services and executing performance improvement initiatives as well as mentoring nursing staff to achieve their maximum professional potential. The Director of Nursing functions as a senior staff member within the hospital and participates in management decisions about the hospital’s programs and services. | Qualifications Required | Candidate must possess MSN and 5+ yrs psychiatric nursing and senior leadership experience in an inpatient setting. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, excellent managerial and communication skills a must. |
