Responsibilities

Healthcare organization seeks individual with experience using data in quality improvement to join dynamic clinial software development/support team serving clients nationwide.

Qualifications Required

Required skills include knowledge/use of decision support software, excellent interpersonal and customer support skills, experience developing & giving oral presentations, professional writing skills and knowledge/experience developing education for face-to face & e-learning training. Applicants must be able to work independently under tight deadlines and have strong organizational skills to respond to shifting priorities.

Qualifications Preferred

Experience using MS Office Office Suite preferred. Long-term care experience, nursing degree, healthcare background and/or knowledge of MDS or other healthcare databases a plus. MS degree in relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

Two positions available, one in New York City and one in Albany. Each involves site visits to five or six nursing homes in the respective region to assure grant requirements are being conducted correctly and to provide assistance when they are not. There will be a few training days and meetings in Albany in each year required as well.

Approximately 30-35 days of work over two years are anticipated. Most dates and times can be scheduled at the mutual convenience of the consultant and the participating nursing homes, although day time availability is required.

Qualifications Required

Nurses and other appropriate professionals with:

(a) experience with care planning in nursing homes,
(b) staff leadership skills and,
(c) basic computer skills (e-mail, use of the WWW and word processing)
