| Responsibilities | The Educational Alliance, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit located in lower Manhattan, seeks an experienced, dedicated and dynamic Registered Nurse or LPN to perform skilled nursing duties. Some duties include medication administration oversight at a 100-bed residential facility for mandated and non-mandated adults struggling with chemical dependencies. This talented nursing professional will perform on-going assessments of new and existing clients, refer clients for outside medical care, oversee medical appointments and referrals, administer medications as prescribed, monitor for adverse effects, implement physician orders in a timely manner and maintain high standards of client care. The Nurse will also participate in the orientation of clients to the program and facility, maintain client’s files, order and maintain a stock of supplies and equipment and dispose of all discontinued medication in compliance with regulations. |
| Qualifications Required | Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN with valid NYS license and at least one year of related experience. Knowledge of OASAS rules and regulations strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with clients, significant others and treatment team members. Graduate RNs considered. |
