More than 100 nurses protested against not having a contract outside Nyack Hospital on June 21.

The 520 nurses, members of the New York State Nurses Association, have been working without a contract since Dec. 31. Negotiations have been ongoing since September and, according to the nurses, the major sticking points of health care and retirement benefits have yet to be resolved.

The nurses say this protest, and an earlier one in March, were informal, but the possibility of a strike remains.
