NYSNA welcomed back into NYS AFL-CIO!

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of Lorraine Seidel, NYSNA’s director of Economic and General Welfare, and the National Federation of Nurses (NFN), our national union, NYSNA has rejoined the New York State American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (NYS AFL-CIO).

By affiliating with the 2½-million member state AFL-CIO, NYSNA and the NFN have a powerful ally in advocating for the priorities and concerns nurses share with other working men and women across New York and beyond.

The New York State Nurses Association is the voice for nursing in the Empire State. With more than 36,000 members, it is the state's largest professional association and largest union for registered nurses. It supports nurses and nursing practice through education, research, legislative advocacy, and collective bargaining.
