MANHATTAN, Feb. 25, 2008 – Registered nurses at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center will conduct an informational picket in protest of their stalled contract negotiations.
Picketing will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m., in front of the hospital on 7th Avenue between West 12th Street and Greenwich Avenue.
The 800 RNs are represented by the New York State Nurses Association. Their most recent three-year contract expired on Feb. 15. The RNs are trying to address problems with floating and staffing.
