Oneida Healthcare RNs to picket July 15

ONEIDA, July 8, 2008 – Registered nurses at Oneida Healthcare Center will conduct an informational picket on Tuesday, July 15, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., in front of the hospital at 321 Genesee St.

The picket concerns the lack of progress in the nurses’ current contract negotiations. The most recent three-year agreement for the 108 RNs expired on Dec. 31, 2007.

The New York State Nurses Association is the voice for nursing in the Empire State. With more than 36,000 members, it is the state's largest union and professional association for registered nurses. It supports nurses and nursing practice through education, research, legislative advocacy, and collective bargaining.
