LICH Contempt Hearing Postponed Until 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13th

(Brooklyn, NY)--The contempt hearing against SUNY scheduled fortomorrow has been postponed until Thursday at 11 a.m. The hearing is for contempt of the Temporary Restraining Order issued by a New York Supreme Court Judge, which prohibits the closure of Long Island College Hospital.

" Thecommunity served by LICH deserves a hospital that meets its needs as determined by an inclusive community-needs assessment. We are ready and willingto work with anyone that will commit to a democratic and transparent process that ensures that patients have a real voice in decisions that impact their care. We believe that only such a process will lead to a just outcome for LICH patients."
