Westchester negotiations at impasse

NYSNA is in the process of filing its fourth improper practice charge against Westchester Medical Center since July. Charges include two occurrences of direct dealing, condition bargaining, and refusing to meet with the association to discuss grievances and safety issues.

Medical center administration has been trying to manipulate the nurses by sending bargaining unit members e-mails with misleading information. It’s also tried to circumvent the union by attempting to negotiate directly with RNs on the ground mobile ICU/STAT unit.
