Secor scholarships assist nursing students

NYSNA is accepting applications for the 2009 Secor Scholarships. The deadline is Friday, March 20, 2009.

Two scholarships will be awarded this spring:

$5,000 to a NYSNA member seeking a bachelor’s (or higher) degree in nursing.
$5,000 to a family member of a NYSNA member seeking a first degree in nursing. A family member is defined as spouse, domestic partner, dependent child, or grandchild.

Half of the endowment ($2,500) will be disbursed at the time that the scholarship is awarded. The second half will be disbursed upon submission of an official transcript for the first semester showing maintenance of at least a 3.5 GPA (out of 4.0).
