NEW YORK NURSE: September 2008
You can earn up to 22.5 contact hours while enjoying a Caribbean cruise during NYSNA’s 12th Annual Seminar at Sea, scheduled for Feb. 28 to March 8, 2009. This year’s educational vacation event focuses on developing motivational and counseling skills, with classes taught by nurse counselor Becky Eisenhut. Over the course of the week-long trip you’ll have the opportunity to learn the principles and theory behind helping patients change their lives. You’ll also have plenty of time to enjoy the amenities and activities on the Carnival Freedom cruise ship and explore ports of call from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Nassau, Bahamas.
The trip leaves from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; travel costs includes transportation from JFK Airport. To reserve your spot, a $500 deposit is due by Oct. 15. Credit card payment scheduling is available. For more information on cost and registration, contact the Education, Practice, and Research Program at 518-782-9400, ext. 282 or education@nysna.org.
