A new agreement for RNs at these Gouveneur facilities was reached Nov. 12, 2009, after only the fourth negotiating session and more than a month before the previous contract was to expire. The new three-year contract provides 5% annual wage increases, adds a step on the wage scale for RNs in their 25th year of service, and doubles the RNs’ life insurance benefits. The contract was approved Dec. 11.
A new 3½ year agreement for the 111 RNs at this Oneonta facility approved Jan. 14, will provide salary increases of 3% for each of the next two years, 2.5% in January 2012, .5% in June 2012, and 2% in January 2013. The contract also increases on-call and per-diem pay, provides additional time for representatives to take part in NYSNA meetings, and increases the time for filing grievances from five days to 10.
The 800 healthcare professionals at this Plattsburgh medical center will receive 3% salary increases per year under a new three year contract approved Jan. 22. The contract will provide improvements in on-call pay, shift differential, sick leave, benefit time, and charge pay. LBU leaders will also receive eight hours per week of release time to conduct association business.
