Convention Cyber Café keeps members in touch

by John Hamelin

“No computer!? But I have to check my e-mail… my Twitter… my Facebook… EVERYTHING!”

If attending this year’s Convention in Niagara Falls is causing “online disconnect anxiety,” NYSNA announces the return of a popular Convention feature.

NYSNA’s Cyber Café will once again be open at this year’s Convention. Computers, with full Internet access, offer members a convenient way to check e-mail, online news sources and all manner of social media. Located in the Convention registration area, the Cyber Café lets members leave their laptops at home, while avoiding the worries of being disconnected from electronic media and communications.

The Cyber Café will be open during registration hours. A complimentary feature for Convention attendees, members are asked to keep online sessions brief when others are waiting to use the service.
