Volunteer Nurse Advocates Needed

Did you know 1 in 10 nurses may have a drug or alcohol problem? NYSNA's SPAN (Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses) program is recruiting volunteer advocates to support fellow nurses struggling with substance problems. SPAN volunteer nurse advocates assist in restoring participants to safe, effective practice. Volunteering is a commitment of 8 hours per month and training is provided. No experience is necessary, though knowledge in the areas of treatment and addictions is helpful.
