Workplace Violence

Violence takes many forms – aggression, harassment, bullying, intimidation, and assault – and occurs in numerous workplace settings: from med/surg and ED to ambulatory care and the psych unit. Recently, NYSNA has received an increasing number of calls from RNs about workplace violence. Research shows that violence against nurses is a significant problem. It’s on the rise – and RNs are speaking out.
