It is critical that nurses work to protect ourselves and our patients. The physiological effects of working in excessive heat environments are well documented. As we did in the winter when we put together our storm protocol, we also share with you our “Extreme Heat Condition Action Protocol."

Here is a map of cooling centers across New York City. The City is also seeking volunteers to assist at their cooling centers.
