The 44th Annual Legislative Conference of the NYS Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators will be held February 14 at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany.

It’s the largest annual gathering of elected officials, community, labor and business leaders from throughout New York State – to  promote the common good and advocate for the social and general welfare in communities of color. NYSNA will be there to meet with our allies and to speak out for our patients.

Lawmakers have already begun discussing what will be in New York State’s next budget. For the past two years, for-profit hospital chains and Wall Street have tried to sneak in budget language that would allow these companies to take over New York hospitals.
