NYSNA Nurses Participate in Educational Trips
NYSNA nurses now have the opportunity to participate in educational trips on healthcare and nursing-related issues.
Participating nurses will have the opportunity to tour local healthcare facilities, including clinics, hospitals, and nursing schools; meet with local health officials, healthcare providers, and their representatives to learn about local practices and patient needs; and learn about culturally-relevant aspects of local nursing practice that apply to participants' practice in their home facilities and communities. Topics of interest may include strengthening the nursing profession; overview of local public health practices; comparing and contrasting local systems with those of the US; environmental aspects of public health; chronic diseases and health conditions in the local population; and more.
Nurses will act as informal ambassadors of the nursing profession, and will share knowledge, experience, and discuss practice challenges with local nursing colleagues.
Join us on NYSNA's educational trips, where you can become part of a nursing educational experience to broaden your horizons and connect you with the global community of nurses and healthcare professionals.
