Nursing profiled in-depth as subject of a newly published book

Nursing was the subject of a lengthy and engaging segment on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show” on April 30. With his guest, author Alexandra Robbins, Lehrer discussed safe staffing ratios, workplace violence and other issues of great concern to NYSNA nurses. Robbins’ new book, “The Nurses: A Year of Secrets, Drama, and Miracles with the Heroes of the Hospital” (Workman Publishing Company, 2015) follows four ER nurses during the course of a year, as they handle the tribulations and triumphs of modern nursing.
