New York City Councilmember Ritchie Torres calls for an investigation into Montefiore Medical Center

NYSNA Stands With Montefiore nurses!

The New York Daily News exposed the crowded conditions leaving many patients in stretchers in hallways without access to privacy at Montefiore Medical Center. Nurses state that they are increasingly compromised in their ability to provide the necessary care that these patients deserve. We salute the nurses for their strong patient advocacy!

As a result, New York City Councilmember Ritchie Torres sent a letter to the New City Department of Investigation demanding an investigation into the intolerable conditions at Montefiore Medical Center.

We thank Councilmember Torres for bringing attention to this issue and taking action in order to ensure the safety of the nurses and the patients.

NYSNA stands in solidarity with the nurses at Montefiore Medical Center in making sure they work in a safe environment where they have the adequate resources to provide quality care to their patients.
