Those were the chants that could be heard all across Long Island, as New York State Nurses Association nurses at Northwell Health's Plainview Hospital made it clear that they needed a contract that protects patient care.

Joining the 150 nurses on the line were fellow caregivers from 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, other unions from Long Island Federation of Labor, afl-cio, and Jim Gaughran, candidate for New York State Senate.
