New Opportunity to Deduct Your Union Dues at Tax Time

Union Members in New York State will now have the opportunity to deduct their union dues from their state income taxes. 

Two years ago, the NYS AFL-CIO, with support from unions across the state, advocated for a piece of legislation that would achieve this goal, and now, all union members will be able to deduct their union dues from their state taxes if they itemize deductions. 

This is a huge win for our brothers and sister in labor as these deductions will put an estimated $35 million back into the pockets of union members.
