On Wednesday, August 21, hundreds of nurses from Vassar Brothers Medical Center were joined by community and labor allies as we proclaimed: "Safe staffing can't wait!"

Joining us on the line were NYSNA members from Putnam Hospital, Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, Senator Jen Metzger, Assemblymember Jonathan Jacobson, Dutchess County Legislators Craig Brendly and Hannah Black, along with staffers from Assemblymember Didi Barrett's and Assemblyman Kevin Cahill's offices. Not to mention our labor allies from Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, United Association Local 21, Laborers Local Union 108, and several others.
