Remembering Robert V. Piemonte, EdD, RN, FAAN

Sadly, Robert V. Piemonte, EdD, RN, FAAN passed away this past week. He was a retired executive director of the National Student Nurses Association, and past president of the New York State Nurses Association.

Educated at the Pilgrim State Hospital School of Nursing, Long Island University and Teachers College, Columbia University, he had held various teaching and administrative positions in New York State and in national nursing organizations, among them the American Nurses Foundation and Nurses House. He served as Chief Nurse of the 8th Army Medical Unit. He will be missed by many nursing colleagues.
