On Thursday, June 4, nurses gathered in our cars with our union sisters and brothers in the Transport Workers Union (TWU) to honor the life of Nelson Rivera. Many RNs got to know Nelson in the aftermath of Puerto Rico’s Hurricane Maria. He worked tirelessly with TWU to help us with safe passage, and support as we provided critical relief to disaster victims.

In his honor, and in accordance with his family’s wishes, we encourage you to consider a donation to the New York Relief Network, which is continuing the medical relief missions that Nelson believed in so much.
