This past week brought news of the passing of another former NYSNA staff family member, Latha S. Catlin, RN.

Latha joined NYSNA in 1988 after working at the NICU at NYC H+H/Bellevue Hospital Center. She devoted many years to the nurses at NYC H+H as a NYSNA Associate Director. Latha was a supportive colleague and helped many staff during her time here.

Latha will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and wonderful voice, which she shared with the members at many annual Convention events. She helped form the NYSNA Labor Chorus; a group composed of staff and members.

Family was everything to her. Latha has two loving daughters who grew up during her time at NYSNA. Her large extended family was very important to her.

Rest in Power, Latha, and Sing in Peace. Your NYSNA family will never forget you!
