Nursing Practice

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to identify current standards of Neonatal Care nursing practice and apply them to selected patient conditions.

The participant will be able to apply current standards of care in Emergency Nursing to selected situations, in accordance with the BCEN standards of care for emergency nursing.

The participant will be able to articulate information regarding fetal status via fetal heart rate monitoring for various rates as presented.

At the end of this program, nurses as part of a functional nursing team, will master clear and structured communication, thoughtful delegation, active supervision, accountability and collaborative leadership.  Through mastery of these concepts, they will empower themselves and other team members to efficiently share responsibilities while maintaining safety and enhancing patient outcomes.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to identify current standards of Psychiatric Mental Health nursing practice and apply them to selected patient conditions.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to apply current standards of care in inpatient obstetric nursing to selected situations, in accordance with the NCC standards of care for inpatient obstetric nursing.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to apply current standards of care in critical care nursing to selected situations, in accordance with the ACCN standards of care for Critical Care nursing.
