The New York State Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The New York State Nurses Association is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training “IACET” and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.

In order to receive CHs/CEUs, all participants are required to:

  • Attend the entire workshop
  • Complete all in-session program assignments 
  • Complete an evaluation form
  • Complete and return a post-program Survey Monkey® questionnaire and /or complete and return a post-program checklist, where applicable.

 NYSNA Time Limited COVID-19 Competency Programs

NYSNA’s Nursing Education and Practice department is offering time limited competency programs to NYSNA members on current standards of nursing practice for COVID-19 patients and selected conditions. Certification Review Courses

Certification Review Workshops prepare professional registered nurses who are considering taking the ANCC certification examination in their specialty. Courses are FREE for NYSNA Members, who only pay only a $25. materials fee.

Seminar at Sea

NYSNA is saddened to announce that the 2020 Seminar at Sea, has been cancelled due to complications presented by travel restrictions addressing COVID-19.

Medical Missions and Disaster Relief

During times of widespread disaster, whether natural, industrial, or man-made, nurses are first-line respondents, as they contribute professionally and personally for patients across the world. Disaster nursing and nurses are critical to the success of community and population recovery.

NYSNA has partnered with MED-ED’s online learning system to offer certification review classes and other courses. CE post-tests are administered online, with instant results and printable CE Certificates. All NYSNA members receive a 50% discount on course subscriptions.

NEW! Holistic and Herbal Studies Online Video Series

For those nurses interested in learning more about holistic and herbal studies, here is a series of continuing education programs starting July 16 offered by BotanicalMedicine.org. This is a 6-video series with continuing education credits for naturopathic physicians and nurses. Topics include microbiome health, the nervous system, mental health, neuroplasticity, women’s health and cellular repair.

The provider of these ANCC accredited programs is offering NYSNA members a 30% discount off of registration, bringing the cost for the full series from $99 to $69.30, and the cost for individual sessions from $15 each to $10.50 each.
