LICH Contempt Hearing Postponed Until 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13th

(Brooklyn, NY)--The contempt hearing against SUNY scheduled fortomorrow has been postponed until Thursday at 11 a.m. The hearing is for contempt of the Temporary Restraining Order issued by a New York Supreme Court Judge, which prohibits the closure of Long Island College Hospital. 

"NYSNA nurses are committed to protecting care for Brooklyn patients," said NYSNA Executive Director Jill Furillo, RN. " Thecommunity served by LICH deserves a hospital that meets its needs as determined by an inclusive community-needs assessment. We are ready and willingto work with anyone that will commit to a democratic and transparent process that ensures that patients have a real voice in decisions that impact their care. We believe that only such a process will lead to a just outcome for LICH patients."
