The New York State Education Department (NYSED), in collaboration with NYSNA’s Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses (SPAN) program, recently completed production of a Public Service Announcement, addressing the issue of substance use disorders among nurses and other licensed professionals. It highlights the work of the NYS Professional Assistance Program (PAP), SPAN, and the Medical Society’s Committee for Physicians’ Health programs.
