Administrative Assistant Floater is responsible for providing administrative support to programs and departments as directed to maintain our union and win strong contracts including: screen and handle telephone calls in a proficient and professional manner, maintain Protest of Assignment database, maintain approved filing system, perform mailings and process incoming mail, file grievances and arbitrations, and more. Assistant to the Executive Director

The Assistant to the Executive Director reports to the Executive Director and is responsible to act as a confidential assistant to the Executive Director and manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Executive Office. This position is for a highly self-motivated professional, capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced labor union environment. Database and Applications Administrator- Downstate

The NYSNA Database and Application Administrator helps our staff make the best use of technical applications to advance the work of our union.  This position is based in NYSNA’s New York City office and reports to the Technology Director. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for creating database reports, troubleshooting problems, administering electronic systems, managing and monitoring user access and authentication, responding to security threats and more. Membership Services Representative – Part Time

Responsible for collecting and recording member information we need to maintain our union and win strong contracts including: dues records, contact information, action & event participation, and assessments. Press Secretary

Seeking a talented, experienced, and highly motivated communicator with strong writing skills and the ability to establish a strong rapport with the press. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for cultivating a positive image of NYSNA in the press, ensuring that the objectives and achievements of NYSNA are communicated efficiently and effectively to earned media outlets and the public. The individual needs to simplify complex issues to convey the union’s objectives and achievements utilizing print, digital, and social media. Program Representative- Downstate

Program Representative is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Association’s member representation and mobilization program in their assigned downstate geographic area and/or facilities.
