On Oct. 3, NYSNA nurses at Albany Medical Center held a press conference, urging hospital administrators to stop hiding the staffing crisis and release the Department of Health (DOH) staffing deficiency report. The hospital has 45 days to share the report and include nurses in the planning of a solution to correct deficiencies.

Thanks to the organizing efforts of NYSNA nurses at NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H), H+H management announced that it will expedite the new tentative parity pay date.
NYSNA nurses at NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) fought hard for and won a contract with pay parity last year. When H+H failed to implement the July 31st parity increase, the nurses quickly mobilized to demand answers.
On August 2, nurses at Albany Medical Center held a press conference to update the community on the status of safe staffing and negotiations for a nurse contract at the hospital.
