The participant will be able to identify various classifications of stroke and the application of selected nursing management interventions.

Objectives for Part 1: Learn about the rights and responsibilities of leaders as patient and self-advocates, learn about unions and what a strong well-organized worksite looks like.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to apply current standards of care in critical care nursing to selected situations, in accordance with the ACCN standards of care for Critical Care nursing.

This workshop is open to all NYSNA members, especially new members, looking to learn more about the union, including how to get involved in the work of the union.

Objectives for Part 2: Learn about members Weingarten rights, and the role of the steward in disciplinary meetings. We'll also discuss grievances, and how to read your contract.
