LICH Caregivers to Hold Speakout: Before Getting on Bus to Albany to deliver 18,000 #SaveLICH petition signatures to SUNY Trustees

(Brooklyn, NY) LICH nurses, caregivers, and patients are holding a brief speakout tomorrow morning in front of the hospital before getting on the bus to Albany for the second day in a row. The busload of healthcare advocates will chant and give brief speeches before heading to Albany where they will deliver 18,000 petition signatures to SUNY Trustees calling on them to keep LICH open as a full service hospital. SUNY has said they won't take any action regarding LICH at their second day of meetings, but LICH activists will be there to make sure that SUNY keeps its word and that they hear from the Brooklyn community -- despite holding the meeting far from the patients who would be impacted if LICH were to close.
